2024 Bluefin, A CANNING FIRST FOR THE UK!

Two 'old' school mates from the 1980s, are pioneering Cornish Canned Bluefin Tuna, one has one of Cornwall's few commercially licensed tuna fishing vessels, the other has Cornwall's first fish cannery for decades... together they 'rod & line caught' two Bluefin Tuna, just off the coast between Mevagissey Harbour and the cannery at Mylor Harbour, no more than 25 miles apart... and the two fish were caught a few miles off the coast between the two harbours...

AKIMI is the lean red meat, used by sushi masters

TORO is the white fatty meat, also used by sushi masters

When cooked in the can, with Cornish Pure Blue Spring Water, there is a residue of of the process, underneath the tuna is incredibly tasty, but please be aware of any bones we may have missed...
